This role will appeal to a technically credible engineering leader who can operate across R&D, laboratory and site environments while bringing structure, discipline and confidence to complex gold plant retrofit programs.
About the role
Reporting into senior leadership, the Head of Engineering will take accountability for engineering delivery across laboratory, pilot and full-scale site implementations. The focus is on program leadership rather than pure project execution, ensuring technical rigour, prioritisation and alignment as proprietary technology is retrofitted into existing processing plants.
This is a highly visible role requiring credibility with senior mining stakeholders and the ability to lead a technically strong but evolving team through measured change.
About you
You will bring a strong background in metallurgical or process engineering, ideally with exposure to gold processing plants and leaching circuits. You will be comfortable operating in complex, risk-sensitive environments and capable of translating technical detail into clear, commercially grounded outcomes.
Just as important as your technical depth is your leadership style. You will be structured, pragmatic and confident, able to lift capability and introduce discipline without destabilising the team.
Key experience and attributes
• Strong understanding of gold processing plants, leaching processes and brownfield modifications
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering programs across R&D, laboratory and site delivery
• Proven ability to manage technical risk and build confidence with customers and internal stakeholders
• Comfortable leading through influence in matrix environments
